Nice hose, not particularly kink-proof

I picked up one of these to use to fill the dog pools and various water bowls around the yard, and to water our vegetables. The idea is the hose doesn't have anything in the ingredients like lead or icky chemicals that can cause someone to get sick from drinking water. Little did I know that as a child, I drank a lot of lead with the water from the hose. My wife says that explains a lot of things, but...You can use a regular hose if you run it until the standing water is flushed out. This one is no worries and it was on sale. Two stars off because it kinks quite easily, so maybe thats what the lead and all the chemicals in the regular hoses help out with...

Since no where is it stated, please note that this hose is 5/8" outer diameter. It looks pretty narrow to me, I believe it must be O.D. unless I am mistaken.
