Doesn't Kink!

This is the second Gilmour hose I have owned. I bought two different "anti-kink" hoses from both Costco and Lowes and both unfortunately seemed to kink worse than the cheapy hoses.I heard from several people that the Gilmour hoses were some of the best at not kinking. I decided to give it a try, so I bought a 100ft one for the front yard. They were right! I don't have the kinking problem any more. I was so excited about not spending countless hours un-kinking the hose so I could water the plants or wash down the car that I decided to buy this 50ft Gilmour for the backyard. It is just as great as the 100ft one. NO MORE KINKING!!! It cost a few dollars more than other 50ft hoses, but I can tell the Gilmours will last much longer. The hose it replaced in the backyard kept kinking at the shutoff valve and eventually the coating started to separate and form an egg in the hose. The rubber coating on this hose looks and feels super durable and the black sleeve on the shutoff valve prevents the hose from kinking like the old one did. I am now a Gilmour hose fan for life! Highly recommend them to anyone looking for a great hose that doesn't kink.

In my many years of gardening experience, Gilmour products usually are of very good quality, and I will almost always pick a Gilmour product over another brand. But, they do produce a defective product at times. This year, two hose nozzles (out of several) became defective, and a simple email got me replacements within days (NO HASSLE!!). I think if a hose became defective (lifetime warranty), you may have to send the brass couplings to them to get a replacement. So for, I've never had a defective Gilmour hose, and they provide many years of service.

This product is good. I bought 2 for the season and this one did not kink up on me like the other one I bought.
