barely adequate

My WIfe bought this hose so she could easily bring it back and forth from the barn in the winter and avoid having to deal with a frozen garden hose when filling up horse troughs.PROS: It does expand and contract as advertised and is very light weight and easy to handle even in sub zero weather.CONS: Very low flow, I'd estimate the water flow is aprox 1/4th the flow through a standard garden hose. It takes well over 2 minutes to fill a 6 gallon bucket with the spigot wide open.Poor connectors. The female hose connector is just abrely within specs for a agrden hose fitting and will only screw on to some garden hose connectors.Poor valve design. The on off valve at the male end of the hose works but is very small and difficult to open/close without spraying yourself with water.We've used this now for about 6 weeks and if it continues to hold up I might improve my rating to "It's OK" as it does make it easier to fill up our troughs in the winter than a standard garden hose - but it could be a much better product.

I love the color and the quality is a lot better than the x hose. I ordered the x hose and it took 6 weeks to arrive. The Rumford Gardener Expanding hose came in 1 week. Thanks Amazon! I have had it for a few weeks and used it extensively and the so far the durability is great. I will let you know if I have any issues in the future. RB
