Delivers as advertised

This hose beats lugging around traditional hoses or having to haul a heavy hose into a holder. I was surprised that I could stretch such a small coiled hose ~75 feet and it returned to its small size after I walked it back in. Bottom line it is much lighter and much more convenient. Also, considering you do not need to pay an extra $50 for a a hose holder it is not that bad of a price. I will caution that there is a little resistance as you approach 70 yards -- it is not too strenous though -- think of a rubber band being fully extended. Second, you need to slightly guide the hose as you walk it back in to the spicket, so it does not tangle (still the tangles are much easier to resolve). Third, the water pressure is slightly less -- nothing too concerning. Regardless, it is a hell of a lot easier then a regular hose and I will not dread watering anymore. You add the lead-free selling point for those that have children and it is a no brainer. Keep in mind, this review is written after a couple of uses.

But it's the best way to get hosed! I haven't seen a better quality hose than this one. You can putter around the yard with it and not feel like you are pulling a fire hose up to a fire. No more 20 yards of kinks after a year. The coil works great and is relatively tangle free. Even if it does tangle it's easy to untangle. Just realize that if you need 75 feet of actual hose you are not going to get it without some strain on the hose bib.The smaller diameter is the way to go for most uses, but be advised that the water pressure is not going to match a bigger hose. I have low pressure to the hose bib and with this hose and quick change attachments there is some restriction of flow...but there's always a tradoff. I'll take that tradeoff though. At least I actually use it without dread now. Highly recommended.

Not quite what I expected

I read through the reviews and was a little concerned about water delivery from this hose, but I figured I'd take a chance as the design really seemed to fit the bill for my needs. I'm lazy and hate coiling hoses. I have a husband and in-laws that seem to have a pet peeve about uncoiled hoses, so this was worth a try. If you have a patio and a few pots to water, this hose would be great. It does get quite heavy when filled with water (one of my "duh" moments....it's common sense, but the thought hadn't crossed my mind until I was trying to manuver it in and around multiple plants). I had to return the hose because I need the same waterflow I would get out of a regular sized garden hose. I have over 100 plumeria pots that I soak once a week in summer, and watering them with this hose took almost twice as long. Rather, it would have taken twice as long if I hadn't disconnected it and switched to a standard hose after watering the first 5 pots. What normally takes 5-10 seconds per pot took 20 seconds, which is no big deal if you only have a few pots to water, but this is not the hose to use for serious watering tasks.
