Good quality hose, but very stiff

A very stiff, extra heavy duty hose. Most customers would be happier with the series 2000 heavy duty NeverKink hose, which does kink on occasion but is very flexible and easy to use and store on a hose holder. But when I bought the series 3000 (11-23-08) it was only $25 and they wanted $41 for the series 2000 (go figure!). I give this one 5 stars for durability but only 2 stars for usability; 3 stars overall. (The 2000 series rates 4 stars for both durability and usability.)

Outstanding hose in 50 foot

If you're looking for a hose that won't wear out: do yourself a favor and buy the NeverKink Extra Heavy Duty (series 3000) in your preferred length.Summer 2011 I purchased two of the 100 foot lengths, this summer I needed to add a fifty foot to my collection. This 50 foot hose is just as durable as it's 100 foot (series 3000) cousins.There are two things about this hose that make it better than any other hose I've ever used.1. An aside to a thick, strong hose it that it holds pressure very well. I haven't noticed any pressure difference whether using a 100 foot, this 50 foot, or even my short 10 foot (non-neverkink brand).2. Despite the name "NeverKink" it's entirely possible to get a kink in the hose (I've done it a few times dragging it back and forth). But from my using it I'll readily say it's extremely kink-resistant.But when it does kink - and here's where this hose outshines every other hose - a quick hose flip gets the kink out...AND YOU CAN'T TELL THERE EVER WAS A KINK! Every other hose I've used once you get a kink it creates a wear spot in the hose which makes it more susceptible to future kinks in that same spot.The latter point is why I'll only buy NeverKink hoses.

This is a heavy-weight hose and heavy-duty. I already had purchased the 100foot one for my backyard and like it very much. It doesn't kink and it seems to be well made enough to last a few years before I'll need to replace it. This one is made with the same quality. It doesn't kink and it appears well made enough to last. I put it in my front yard where it gets regular use and it is doing what it is supposed to do, so I have no issues with it. In fact, if you are looking for a heavy duty hose that won't kink and will stand up to regular use, I have no problem recommending this one. In fact, as time goes by I'll probably be purchasing another one for my side yard, just haven't decided what size to get yet. It is a bit pricey, but I think it is worth it. It is made out of recycled materials and you can't drink from it, but that is to be expected now a days. Again, it is a heavy hose, so I wouldn't recommended it to those that are frail, arthritic or weak. Moving it around will wear you out. Other than that, it stretches out easily; you don't have to fight with it.Tip: uncoil it and lay it where you want before turning the water on. If you leave it coiled up, then turn the water on and try to move it about it will be like moving an iron pipe. It becomes rigid when the water flows through it.
