Short term soaker
By Evan DeBloois
I hoped this soaker hose would perform as well as the one it replaced, but it was not to be. I had installed a similar soaker hose along the top of my retaining stone wall in 1998 and it lasted for 10 years. This one looked the same but ruptured after one season of use. I picked up another brand at the local Lowe's store and it, too, has lasted only a single season. I suspect that the problem is the hose is hooked up to a unpressure regulated irrigation system and can't handle the pressure even though I have been careful with how much water I put through it. On a system with lower pressure, this product would probably work fine. So far everthing I've tried has failed. Ten years was probably a fluke. I am still looking for a product that can deliver water along the whole line like a soaker but can withstand a little pressure without rupturing.

Does not distribute water uniformly
By Mikedt03
This hose let's out about 900% more water the first 10-feet vs. the last 10 feet. In fact, next to the first 20-feet of the hose, my vegetables get too much water and I have to hand water everything else. If I were you, I would buy several short soaker hoses and not a long one, then buy a hose splitter and you would be able to use multiple soakers at the same time with even water distribution.

Surprise! A flow restrictor
By Mehetabelle
Now soaker hoses usually have no differentiating features other than physical dimensions, size of holes and maybe the durability of the recycled rubber from which they are made.So I was surprised to see this one had a flow restrictor on the end. Not that it made it ooze water better or improved its performance in any way. The reason I mention it is it increased the cost but it might provide some support to keep the hose from getting over-pressured and blowing out. The other possible advantage is to keep the bigger bugs out of the hose (I buried mine so the end is exposed for bug invasion).
