Great little soakers

I bought these without a review and am very happy with the results. They are thinner than some soakers, making them easier to wind around the flowerbeds. They also have a nice even drip that provides enough water at a very low pressure setting. Two hoses together water my bed with a slow all day drip. I was also pleased to see that they are made in the USA and have a 7 year warranty, better than most soakers out there. I am so happy with them I am going to order several more to place around the rest of my garden.

I got these soaker hoses to hookup to a 65 gallon rain barrel that I also purchased from amazon. I was pleased to find that even with very low pressure coming out of my barrel, these hoses seem to do a nice job watering my flower beds. In a 4-5 hours all 65 gallons drains into my bed. I will probably add a few more into my vegetable garden.

Terrific for 10 days. Then a big leak.

A large leak formed within two weeks and made an otherwise good soaker hose useless. Here are the details...Pluses:- This hose is easy to set up.- The hose is easy to maneuver (presumably because it is thin) around plants.Minus:- Within two weeks a hole developed a few feet away from the "upstream" end of the hose. So much water leaks from the hole that the hose is now useless.Neutral:- When working, the hose drips rather than sprays, so the water stays quite close to where the hose is laid.- There is a (removable) flow-reducing washer at the end of the hose. I suspect that its purpose is to lower the water pressure so that leaks do not spring. (As noted above, a big leak did spring in my hose; this happened even with the flow-reducing washer in place.)
