Best Hose. Best Value. Buy it!

Not the most flexible hose, especially in cold weather, but:This is a great hose! It's also a great value. This hose is excellent for high water flow in any situation. A must have for low pressure situations, rain barrels, or anything else where you want water fast, due to it's large size. 3/4" hoses allow much more water flow with a minimum amount of pressure loss due to friction. In my opinion, anything less is inadequate, and a waste of your watering time. This hose seems to actually prevent kinking due to it's rigidity, which I like a lot. BEWARE: Many people would claim it's "hard to maneuver", but it's a necessary evil to REALLY prevent kinking. You'll have to deal with it and learn to love it. Other kink-free hoses prevent re-kinking in the same place, but don't actually prevent kinking. This one seems to prevent it totally (in most cases, of course). The female fittings are really heavy duty brass which swivel freely and smoothly, and the males look like semi-heavy duty zinc. Both are a unique, ergonomic design, and they feel and look like they'll last forever. The hose has reinforced striations longways which give it an octagonal shape. It does claim to be lead free and drinking water safe, although water from it tastes like hose when new. The Amazon report DOES NOT include that there is a lifetime warranty, but there IS- GREAT! You must keep the receipt and packaging and read the directions.Random Info: A friend unknowingly parked my dump truck's two front tires on one of these hoses on my driveway for five days in 95+ degree weather, and after flattening it completely with tire marks included, the hose seemed to return to normal after pressurizing it for a day.

We have been keeping a large herd of horses in a corral without a winter watering system. This was not meant to be a long term situation, but for this winter it has become that. To get water to the horses we have run a long length of hose from our house well system. We thought we had a decent strong hose for this, but we were wrong. Our trials with that old hose got us looking to our trusty Amazon site for info, reviews and hopefully a purchase. We initally bought 100 ft of this hose to test it out, and recently bought 175 feet more because we love it so much. It has been serving us well through -27 degree C weather, we have a system for draining the hose inbetween uses and it seems as good as new. This hose does not kink, this is crucial for us, the brass fittings are impressive and holding up through the constant reality of freezing and thawing and the wide diameter means that the work of running water to the horses is going as quickly as possible, definitely faster than with our old garden hose. Its hard to spend what seems like a lot of money for a hose, but this is not your average garden hose. It makes our life so much easier, we feel every penny was well spent and it will actually be cheaper than making multiple purchases of lesser quality hoses.

Nice hose and the fittings seem very durable. Its hard to find anything made in America anymore. Definately worth 40 bucks.
