Good hose

If you are as tired as I was of fooling around with kinking splitting leaking and generally lousy hoses get one of these. I now have 300 feet of Swan rubber hoses around my 1.5 acres and it is the only way to go. My wife loves them too. They are the only hose she has ever been willing to roll back up.They aren't cheap but you get everything you pay for here.EDIT : I have noticed that there are several reviews complaining of kinking. The hose can kink. The beauty of it is that they unkink easily and no damage is done. Also if you lay them out in the sun for awhile they get nice and straight. Used on hose reels they are fantastic. Used in hose bowls you have to kind of break them in. Still...Far and away the best hose I have ever purchased. My wife approves as well which is a huge plus.

Very soft and pliable with quality fittings, but KINKS HORRIBLY. Seems to lack inner hose reinforcements. Unless you don't mind fighting with a hose every time you use it, I'd look for a different product.

Nice looking rubber hose but kinks like crazy

I have had black rubber hoses from other manufacturers that were stiff but flexible and resisted kinking. This hose is definately not one of those. Although the description describes it as having a thick and durable wall it is not very stiff at all. In the first few minutes of using it about 10 kinks developed that totally stopped all water flow. You need to carefully lay out the hose before use and watch constantly that you don't twist it since kinks form with the least provocation. All in all I wish that I had bought another Craftsman brand black rubber hose that I have for the front of my house since that almost never kinks.
