Don't be CONNED by the word `'COMMERCIAL'' or '''PROFESSIONAL''

Knowing that Amazon frequently offers excellent bargains on high-quality items from lesser-known manufacturers, I took a chance on this hose because I've been very pleased with the genuine "commercial/professional grade" hoses that I've worked with and invested in - B-U-T- this this supposedly `'commercial/professional'' item was just a con job that would cost me too much to send it back. Even though the real, true quality/longevity of a hose can't be proven until it's been used and subjected to the elements and usage for several years, a whole lot of people can get ripped off during those years, so I'm not waiting to review it's longevity - and I'll explain my stance. I've worked on construction sites where genuine `'professional grade'' hoses withstood an absurd variety of neglect and abuse but they usually lasted until someone got careless with a chain saw, and a set of REAL `'commercial grade'' hoses have served my extensive gardening needs for the past 7 years - even being left untrained and outside through the winter once, BUT I had also owned many cheap, light, flimsy hoses that didn't even last one summer when I was younger & poorer; so I'm well versed on the very worst and best in hoses. I think it's important to let every potential commercial user know that this hose is no where's near as heavy, or as thick, or as minimally-stiff (to prevent kinking and crushing) as any high quality hose, and it's significantly inferior to the REAL `'professional / commercial / contractor quality'' hoses that are available!! As soon as I began unraveling this hose it reminded me of the cheap, light, flimsy, frustrating (constantly kinking) hoses that I could only afford in my younger years, AND unless they've made miraculous advances in the strength of such light-weight hose materials over the past few years (pretty doubtful because most of the better-known hose manufacturers are still touting their 4 or 5 "ply" structuring despite the added weight and thickness), then this thin, light-weight hose will probably only last a season or two and certainly won't withstand the challenges and rigorous use by a professional, contractor or commercial user for very long.~ If you're considering investing in a genuinely good / high quality or commercial quality hose that's heavy-duty enough to withstand an extensive amount of use and/or abuse and still last a reasonably long time - and you're considering this one - it's better to have at least one experience-relevant review (even though I can't speak for the longevity yet) before you make a decision to spend your hard earned money on this hose -or- an alternate one. I'd strongly recommend a better hose than this one, EVEN IF you have to connect 2 hoses together to get 120 feet. I also believe that even a very-good quality residential/garden hose would even be better than this one.~ Live And Learn - It isn't just Apex who is teaching us that we can no longer trust the words `'heavy duty'', ''professional'' or ''commercial'' to honestly represent heavier duty or more durable & sustainable products; there are now numerous unethical companies who use such words to try to try to con us out of our money and give us average or even light-duty products that can't stand up or last under challenging usage! Thankfully many web sites are now offering customer reviews to TRY help us consumers make better informed investments and they also help to sabotage the profitability of offering inferior products and the deceptions and conning that some companies are trying to get away with !!! But if you don't speak up when you're mislead, then consumers keep wasting their money and more land-fills are needed for all the junk, companies that make better products can't survive and have to lay off their employees, and unethical companies keep practicing their deceptions because they can get away with it and it makes those greedy buggers even more profits - at OUR expense - so speak up man!!

I bought this "commercial hose around 6 months ago and while recently tightening up a fitting to the male end, the 'brass' coupling sprung a leak in the metal. Not much pressure was applied to achieve this. Pathetic. Next hose will be bought without "being hosed"PS: It would sometimes kink and I always treated it like a kinking hose to avoid the occurrence more often.

Best garden hose

I purchased a Powerflo IV last year and liked it so much that I bought another one for my second faucet this year. The hoses are the best I ever had. They do not kink, collapse or split and are made of very thick, sturdy material. After working with these hoses, I don't even want any other kind any more.
